Road accident victim identified

The 20-year-old woman who died in a road accident in County Down on Saturday has been named as Patrice Martine Gorman from Newry.

The accident occurred at about 1800 BST on the A1 dual carriageway near Dromore.

A police spokesperson said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. It is understood that no other vehicles were involved.

Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the accident to get in touch.
