Man charged with woman's murder

A 48-year-old man has been charged with murder after the body of a woman was found in Hampshire.

The body was discovered at a property in Brighton Hill in Basingstoke on 26 May.

A Hampshire police spokesman said a post-mortem examination revealed the 48-year-old woman died after being assaulted.

Officers charged a man from Tadley on Saturday. He is due to appear before magistrates on Monday.
