Share windfall for heating staff
http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/rss/-/1/hi/england/tyne/6712645.stm Version 0 of 1. Staff working for a North East company are due to receive average bonus payments amounting to £140,000 each. The Newcastle-based firm Eaga, which specialises in heating systems, has an employee trust which is about to sell shares worth £190m. This means some workers will get an average pay-out of about £60,000 in cash, plus £80,000 worth of shares. The windfall for staff will depend on their length of service and the salary they receive. Eaga was started in 1990 by a former British Coal manager and now employs more than 3,000 staff around the country. The company works for utilities and government, cutting carbon emissions and helping advising householders on insulation and more efficient heating. |
