Version 0 of 1.

A County Londonderry man being investigated in Turkey over an alleged property fraud has denied he has been involved in any wrongdoing.

Kevin O'Kane, from the Bellaghy area, has had his passport confiscated by Turkish police.

They are investigating claims that dozens of investors have been swindled.

Mr O'Kane's solicitor said his client "is himself a victim of the fraud and has lost well over a quarter of a million pounds."

It is understood Mr O'Kane was taken to Bodrum for questioning before being released on bail.

The alleged fraud involves the false marketing of luxury villas.

The authorities are also seeking a Turkish national for questioning.
