Version 0 of 1.

Boys aged just six, seven and eight have been reported after school windows worth thousands of pounds were broken.

The trio have been referred to the youth justice panel in connection with 20 windows being smashed at Kaimhill Primary School, in Aberdeen.

The vandalism happened at the school in Pitmedden Road on Saturday.

A Grampian Police spokesman said: "The level of damage was quite extraordinary, even more so considering the age of those responsible."

The spokesman added: "We would ask parents to make sure they know what their children are up to when they are out playing.

"Grampian Police will be keeping a close eye on schools throughout the region during the summer holidays. Youth is no excuse for vandalism.

"Vandalism will not be tolerated and will always be vigorously investigated."
