Thailand's Thai Rak Thai party, founded by ousted leader Thaksin Shinawatra, has been outlawed after it was found guilty of violating electoral laws. Thailand's ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra and 110 other senior party officials have been banned from political office for five years.
The Constitutional Tribunal said it "did not respect the rule of law" and could not exist as a political party. The Constitutional Tribunal also ordered Mr Shinawatra's Thai Rak Thai party to be dissolved after finding it guilty of violating electoral laws.
