Version 0 of 1.

Former Prison Break actor Lane Garrison has pleaded guilty to manslaughter charges over a car crash that left a teenage school student dead.

Mr Garrison, 26, admitted vehicular manslaughter without gross negligence as well as drink-drive charges related to the crash in California last year.

If convicted, Mr Garrison faces up to six years and eight months in jail when he returns to court on 2 August.

The actor played Tweener in the Fox series, shown on Five in the UK.

Blood test

A hospital test revealed Mr Garrison was around two times over California's limit for alcohol in the blood while driving, police said.

Mr Garrison did not comment after the hearing at Beverly Hills Superior Court.

The actor was driving his Land Rover when it left the road and struck a tree. No other vehicles were involved.

The actor suffered only minor injuries in the crash, but one of his three passengers, teenager Vahagn Setian, later died.

Mr Garrison has also been charged with providing alcohol to a minor.
