Man dies in race attack stabbing

A 21-year-old man has been killed in what police described as a "targeted" and "racially-motivated" stabbing.

He was stabbed during a fight on Byron Street in Garston, Merseyside on Sunday afternoon at about 1300 BST.

The man, who has not been identified, was taken to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital but died a short time later.

A 16-year-old boy from Garston and a 17-year-old youth from Anfield were arrested at the scene.

Police are still looking for another 17-year old boy from Garston and another youth who they believe were present when the attack happened.
