Three due in court over killing Mother and son face murder charge

Three people have been charged in connection with the death of a man in Londonderry. A couple and the woman's son have been remanded in custody charged with the murder of a man in Londonderry.

He died later in hospital. Two men, aged 37 and 19, and a woman aged 38 are due in court in Limavady later. He died later in hospital. James Meehan, 37, Brenda Meehan, 38, and Sean Anthony Devenney, 19, appeared at Limavady Magistrates Court.
Mr McFadden's 15-year-old daughter and a 16-year-old boy were injured in the assault. The three, from Derry's Dundrean Park, denied the charge during interviews.
His daughter suffered facial injuries in that attack and his son sustained a broken arm. A detective inspector told Wednesday's court hearing he believed he could connect the accused to the charges.
His children, aged between 10 and 16, witnessed the assault. He confirmed that when the charges were put to them during police interviews, all three replied: "Definitely not guilty."
