A huge explosion has rocked the city of Irbil, capital of northern Iraq's autonomous Kurdish region. A truck bomb has exploded in the city of Irbil, capital of northern Iraq's autonomous Kurdish region.
At least four people were killed in the explosion, which is thought to have been caused by a truck or car bomb. At least seven people were killed in the explosion and several were hurt.
The explosion took place outside the Interior Ministry building, according to the AFP news agency. Television pictures showed the blast had destroyed a building and left a large crater on a road where interior ministry offices are located.
