Mr Janaway was named as one of the victims by Surrey Police on Tuesday afternoon. The men were part of a 13-strong stag party returning to Brighton from Leicestershire.
A statement released by his family said: "We are devastated by the loss of a wonderful son, brother and great friend." Their minibus broke down on the M1, and seven of the group, including the bridegroom, were taken home safely in a people carrier after they called for breakdown assistance.

The other six were picked up in a Dunchurch Motors Ltd recovery vehicle, which also carried the minibus.
It crashed on the M25 between junctions nine and eight, Leatherhead and Reigate, at about 0215 BST on Monday.
Mr Janaway was the first of the victims to be named by Surrey Police on Tuesday.
