Woman arrested after two hurt on A5 in Denbighshire

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and with excess alcohol after two pedestrians were injured on the A5 in Denbighshire.

It follows a collision at Glyndyfrdwy between Llangollen and Corwen at 0250 BST on Sunday.

One of the pedestrians received head injuries, and the other suffered fractures.

North Wales Police asked witnesses to call 101, 0845 6011002 (English language) or 0845 6011001 (Welsh).

Police said the pedestrian with head injuries was transferred to hospital in Liverpool, and the other to a local hospital.

The road reopened at 1130 BST.
