| A four-year-old child is missing and a woman and child are in hospital after a fire at a house in a Highland village. | |
| The blaze broke out in the end of terrace property in Cromarty Drive, Milton, near Invergordon, shortly before 0230 BST. | |
| The woman and child escaped and were taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment to injuries. | |
| Police said one other child remains unaccounted for. Efforts are under way to search the badly damaged building. | |
| More than 20 firefighters battled to control the blaze overnight. | |
| Northern Constabulary said the fire caused considerable structural damage and attempts are being made to make the building safe. | |
| A spokeswoman said: "The neighbouring house was evacuated, but emergency services personnel were unable to access the burning building due to the severity of the fire and the structural damage. | |
