The Year 8 pupil suffered a suspected fractured skull and internal bleeding in the incident at Bodmin College at 1300 BST on Tuesday. The Year Eight pupil suffered a suspected fractured skull at Bodmin College at 1300 BST on Tuesday.

The college confirmed there had been an incident between two Year 8 students. One parent, who has a daughter at the college, said: "My daughter has been regularly verbally abused and harassed in her first year at the college.
A spokesman said: "Everyone is very shocked by the incident. "We have also had a meeting with the head teacher and my daughter was told to get a thicker skin."
"This is a very upsetting situation for all concerned and our thoughts and best wishes are with the family and friends of the injured student." The school responded: "The school takes all incidents of bullying very seriously indeed and has a clear anti-bullying policy which is followed by staff and students.
"Bodmin College is a very large school with 1,500 students and takes its duty of care very seriously.
"Staff work closely with parents and carers to resolve issues, however some issues can be harder to resolve to the satisfaction of all parties.
The college said in an earlier statement: "This is a very upsetting situation for all concerned and our thoughts and best wishes are with the family and friends of the injured student."
