Bag snatcher targets 91-year-old

A 91-year-old woman has been left shaken after her bag was snatched in the street by a teenage girl.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the Edinburgh robbery which they believe could have been carried out by a girl as young as 14.

The incident happened in Albert Street, near Leith Walk, at 1740 BST on Saturday, as the pensioner walked with her 67-year-old daughter.

The girl was 5ft 5ins with brown hair, tied back, and was wearing black.

She ran off towards Leith Walk.
