Postal vote mix-up action taken
http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/rss/-/1/hi/scotland/south_of_scotland/6595607.stm Version 0 of 1. Action has been taken after about 200 postal ballot papers were delivered in the Selkirk area for the incorrect Scottish Parliamentary constituency. Selkirk is in Tweeddale, Ettrick and Lauderdale but papers for the neighbouring Roxburgh and Berwickshire seat were sent out by error instead. Election officials are aware of the people affected by the mistake and are currently rectifying the matter. Over 8,000 postal votes were applied for in the two constituencies. All ballot papers are expected to be delivered by Friday. |
