The operation was still continuing and officers were carrying out searches at the four homes. Supt Stewart Daniels said: "This was the culmination of several months of investigation into illegal activity in Barrhead.
"This was very much a local operation. This operation shows that we do take action and we would like to reassure the public that this won't be the last raid in the Barrhead area."
