A teenager who died at Butlins holiday resort in Minehead has been named as Rebekkah Geor-Bond of Hengoed near Caerphilly, south Wales. The 19-year-old's body was discovered in a chalet at the camp in Somerset in the early hours of 21 April. She was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton, but died shortly after. A 26-year-old man, believed to be her boyfriend, was questioned on suspicion of murder, but was released without charge after a post-mortem examination. Avon and Somerset Police said that they are no longer treating her death as suspicious. An inquest into her death was opened and adjourned by the west Somerset coroner Michael Rose. A spokeswoman for the coroner said the cause of death was hanging. She said: "We're not looking for anybody else in connection with this." A full inquest into the death will be heard at a date to be fixed. |
