Man serious after street stabbing

A man in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed in County Down.

He was attacked in the Manor Avenue area of Bangor shortly after 2330 BST on Saturday.

The 39-year-old victim is described as being in a serious but stable condition.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested following the stabbing. Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.
