Student dies in city centre fall

Police said the man plunged from Princess Square, near the former library building, into a car park in the early hours of Saturday morning. Emergency services were called but the man, who has not been named, was pronounced dead at the scene. Few details have been released but a Northumbria Police spokesman said the death was not being treated as suspicious at this stage. Anyone with information is asked to contact police. |
