The Scottish National Party is promising improved economic growth and a more efficient government if it is elected on 3 May.

As campaigning for the Scottish Parliament elections continues on Friday, Labour will accuse the SNP of misleading voters with its figures.

The Scottish Conservatives will highlight urban regeneration plans.

The Scottish Liberal Democrats will explain how they would go about cutting hospital waiting times.

SNP leader Alex Salmond will host a breakfast in Edinburgh to discuss with business leaders the SNP's plans for boosting growth in the Scottish economy.

However, Jack McConnell will attack the SNP on releasing the potential of young people during a visit to a skills project in Bathgate, West Lothian.

The Scottish Labour leader is expected to say: "The SNP do not have a clue what it takes to build the best education system in the world."

Annabel Goldie, Scottish Conservative leader, will be campaigning in Barrhead, East Renfrewshire, focussing on an £80m town centre regeneration fund.
