Version 0 of 1.

Police are looking for a man they have described as dangerous over an alleged murder and the abduction of a couple.

Daniel Breaks, 47, is wanted for questioning over the death of Simon Sutton, 40, whose body was found in Birkenhead, Merseyside, on Monday.

He is also wanted in connection with the alleged abduction of a couple in their 60s from their home in Chester-le-Street, County Durham.

Police said Mr Breaks should not be approached by the general public.

It is believed Mr Sutton was killed on 10 April following a row at the home of his girlfriend, who is Breaks' sister.

Considered dangerous

The cause of death has not been disclosed. Breaks is also thought to have abducted the couple from their home in Chester-le-Street, County Durham, on Monday evening.

The couple are understood to be friends of Mr Breaks, but he is alleged to have threatened them with a knife before driving them to London in their own car and releasing them unharmed in the early hours of Tuesday.

Breaks, who has links to Liverpool and Birkenhead, remains at large, and Merseyside Police are keen to trace him.

Assistant Chief Constable Patricia Gallan said: "Daniel Breaks, who is known as Danny, is considered dangerous and shouldn't be approached by the general public."

Breaks is described as white, 6ft tall, stocky, with brown hair which is shaved short.

Earlier on Tuesday, a 39-year-old woman and two teenagers arrested in connection with Mr Sutton's death were released on bail.
