At least 10 people have been killed in a car bombing in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, police say. More than 50 people have been killed in a series of blasts and attacks in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, police say.
The attack took place in the mainly Shia Karrada district, where there have been several attacks in recent weeks. The deadliest attack came in the Shia stronghold of Sadr City, where a car bomb exploded near an army checkpoint.
The vehicle exploded on a road near a private hospital. More than a dozen people were reported hurt in the blast. The blast left at least 30 people dead and dozens more injured, security officials said.
An earlier car bombing, near a hospital in the city's mostly-Shia Karrada district, left at least 10 people dead, police said.
A number of other bombings and shootings have been reported in and around the capital. In one, four policemen were said to have been killed.
