Version 0 of 1.

A teenager raped and robbed a 15-year-old schoolgirl, then rang her mother to tell her what had happened, a Belfast Crown Court jury has been told.

The alleged attack took place in Belfast on 6 August 2005.

Michael Sean Quinn, 18, allegedly rang the schoolgirl's mother, saying he had "enjoyed raping your girl".

Mr Quinn, of Glasvey Drive, Twinbrook, denies four charges of robbery, four of false imprisonment, one of indecent assault and two further counts of rape.

The alleged attack took place at the forecourt of a filling station and the Colin Glen golf centre in the Blacks Road area of west Belfast.

A 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared alongside Mr Quinn. He denies two charges of aiding and abetting the alleged rapes.

Opening the case to the jury of eight men and four women on Tuesday, the prosecution revealed that the 17-year-old had already pleaded guilty to the charges of robbery and false imprisonment.

The lawyer said that in the Crown view, the evidence against Mr Quinn in relation to the robberies and false imprisonments was "overwhelming".

He said the prosecution "utterly reject" his claims that the sexual activity was consensual.

In relation to the allegations that Mr Quinn was helped in the alleged rapes by his co-accused, the prosecution lawyer claimed the jury would have "no doubt" that he either knew or contemplated that Quinn would sexually assault the girl.

The trial continues.
