http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/rss/-/1/hi/england/tyne/6562377.stm Version 0 of 1. Revellers are being questioned after a 16-year-old girl died from heart failure following a Tyneside party. Rochelle Rushford was taken ill in the early hours of Sunday during a party at a flat in Hexham House, in the Walker area of Newcastle. Police said four men and two women were arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs. All six have been bailed. The death of Miss Rushford, of Pitt Street, Newcastle, was being treated as unexplained, said Northumbria Police. Toxicology tests A police spokesman said she collapsed at a party and an ambulance was called. He said: "She was later pronounced dead and a post-mortem examination confirmed she had died of heart failure." Detectives are now awaiting the outcome of toxicology tests, which could take several weeks. The block of flats where Rochelle lived in Pitt Street is run securely and provides accommodation for vulnerable youngsters. |
