World Bank governments have described a pay scandal involving President Paul Wolfowitz as a matter of "great concern". The embattled World Bank President, Paul Wolfowitz, has indicated he does not plan to resign over a pay scandal.
The bank's ministerial policymakers endorsed action by the board to look into the matter, in a statement released after talks in Washington. Mr Wolfowitz told a news conference: "This is important work and I plan to continue doing it."
