Police have released the names of the two people killed in a road accident near Newry on Saturday. | |
The crash happened on the Old Warrenpoint Road just before 1300 BST. | |
Motorcyclist Patrick Beauquis, who was 30, and from Dundalk, died at the scene while motorist Ludmila Zimarjova, 46, from Newry died in hospital. | |
Meanwhile, a councillor has said a family who live near the scene "risked their lives" to try and save Ms Zimarjova. | |
SDLP councillor Karen McKevitt said the family pulled the woman from her car seconds before it went on fire. | |
