Man remanded over woman's murder
http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/rss/-/1/hi/wales/south_east/6555533.stm Version 0 of 1. A man charged with the murder of a woman found dead at her father's house near Bridgend in September 2006 has been remanded in custody. Royston David Moore, 52, from Nantymoel, was charged with the murder of care worker Beverley Parkhouse, 45. It was first thought she had died of smoke inhalation but a murder investigation was launched after the results of a post mortem examination. Mr Moore was absent from the hearing because he recently suffered a stroke. His solicitor, Jonathan David applied to have the case heard in the defendant's absence because he would find it difficult to make it from the cells to the court room at Pontypridd's Magistrates' Court. The case was adjourned until Friday when it will appear before Cardiff Crown Court. No application for bail was made and Mr Moore was remanded in custody. |
