Man charged with woman's murder

A 52-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a woman who was found dead at her father's house near Bridgend in September 2006.

The body of 45-year-old care worker Beverly Parkhouse was discovered at a property in Ogmore Vale.

It was first thought she had died of smoke inhalation but a murder investigation was launched after the results of a post mortem examination.

The man is due to appear before Pontypridd magistrates on Saturday.
