Lorry crashes through reservation

A lorry has crashed through the central reservation of a major road in Cardiff and collided with other vehicles.

South Wales Police confirmed the lorry crashed from the eastbound of the A48 into the westbound carriageway in the St Mellons area of the city.

Both sides of the dual carriageway have been closed and westbound traffic is being prevented from leaving the M4 to join the A48 at Junction 29.

There are currently no details on any injuries at the scene.

There is major traffic disruption on roads leading into Cardiff from the east.
