Parents in Londonderry have been warned to be vigilant after two three-year-old children were sexually assaulted. The mother of a toddler who was sexually assaulted in Londonderry has warned parents to be vigilant.
The boy and girl were approached by a man in Ferndale Court and assaulted behind houses in nearby Templepark on Wednesday afternoon. The girl was assaulted by a man after being taken to a shed with a three-year-old boy on Wednesday afternoon.
Community worker Talis Miller said parents in the area were very worried. According to the boy's mother he was not harmed, but saw what happened.
The girl's mother, who wants to remain anonymous, said she wanted the man caught before any more children were attacked.
"People wouldn't think that it would happen down here, but it has happened so it could happen again," she said.
"There is some dirty brute out there preying on children as young as three.
"Hopefully the police will catch him and he won't get away with it."
