Two 14-year-old boys who have been missing from their homes for over a week have disappeared "without trace".

Tony Stimpson, originally from Milton Keynes, and Kyle Lambert, from Scotland, left their homes in Bracknell, Berks, on 27 August.

Tony's father, Chris Newman, said it was uncharacteristic for his son to disappear for this length of time.

Police are carrying out a search for the friends and Mr Newman said they may have travelled to Milton Keynes, Bucks.

Thames Valley police said despite extensive enquiries the boys are yet to be traced and they are appealing for information to help find the pair.

They described Tony as white, 5ft 11in and stocky, and Kyle as 5ft 8in with short brown hair, blue eyes, with a chipped front tooth and a scar on his left hand.

Mr Newman told BBC News he had been planning on visiting his son on the bank holiday Monday, but he went missing on the Sunday night.

"The longest Tony has been missing from home before now is 48 hours," Mr Newman added.
