http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/rss/-/1/hi/england/derbyshire/6532689.stm Version 0 of 1. Ninety firefighters are tackling a blaze at a mill in Derbyshire. The whole of the roof and top floor of the Wren's Nest Mill on Glossop High Street is on fire, causing the evacuation of nearby homes and shops. It is not know what has caused the blaze at the building, which was converted into luxury apartments less than a year ago. Fire crews have also been called in from Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire to fight the fire. There are no reports of injuries, but the main A57 through Glossop has been closed as a result of the blaze which started shortly after 0700 BST. A spokesman for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said the fire has severely destroyed the roof of the building. |
