Police in Glasgow have been quizzing motorists during their investigation into the murder of a young woman.

Susan Shivers was attacked in the city centre a month ago and died from her injuries a few weeks later.

Detectives spent several hours speaking to motorists and pedestrians in the Robertson Street and Argyle Street area on Saturday night.

Police believe Ms Shivers was working as a prostitute and have appealed for witnesses to the attack.

Susan Shivers, 27, from the Milton area of Glasgow, was seriously assaulted in Robertson Lane, at 2335 GMT on 3 March.

After a few days in hospital she was allowed home but she became ill on Friday 23 March.

She was taken back to hospital but was found to be dead on arrival.

Police are particularly keen to trace a man who was seen heading down Robertson Street towards the Broomielaw at the time of the attack.

He is described as being in his late 20s, about 6ft, of thin build, with short hair and was wearing silver-rimmed round-framed glasses, a grey hooded tracksuit top with a zip and blue jeans.
