A man has died following a house fire in County Fermanagh.

It happened at Newtownbutler in the early hours of Friday. Police and fire crews were called to the house at Camphill Park just before 0400 BST.

It is understood the fire began in the front room of the house. Police said the fire was not being treated as suspicious at the moment.

It took about 10 minutes to bring the blaze under control and the man's body was discovered once the smoke cleared.

Firefighter Robbie Bryson said: "The fire was well alight when we arrived, with most of the smoke in the living room."
