The incident happened on the Ardnabannon Road in Castlewellan. His motorcycle was involved in a collision shortly after 1830 BST on Tuesday. Martin Francis McDonald, 29, from Leitrim, near Castlewellan, died when his bike was involved in a collision shortly after 1830 BST on Tuesday.
A PSNI spokesman said: "It is believed the motorcycle he was riding was in collision with a car." The incident happened on the Ardnabannon Road in Castlewellan.
