Sister still held in murder probe

Detectives were still questioning a 14-year-old girl on Wednesday over the fatal stabbing of her older sister.

The 16-year-old victim was found with serious injuries at a house in Ovenden, Halifax, on Monday night, and died at Calderdale Royal Hospital.

The 14-year-old girl, who also suffered knife wounds, was taken to a police station after treatment in hospital.

A post-mortem examination was carried out on Tuesday, although West Yorkshire Police have not revealed the results.

Officers remained outside the girls' home on Wednesday as forensic officers continued their investigations inside.
