Version 0 of 1.

The investigation into the killing of a man in his own home remains unsolved three years on, detectives have said.

Andrew Boland, 35, was shot three times in the chest by two masked men, in the hallway of his home in Stretford, Greater Manchester, in March 2004.

Police have asked that anyone with fresh information speaks to them.

Det Supt Tony Cook said: "Andrew's family need to know who killed him and three years is a long time to go without any answers."

Mr Boland was shot after his partner's nine-year-old son answered the door to two masked men, armed with a gun and brick.

The killers were chased for while by Mr Boland's partner, who saw them escaping in a Vauxhall Vectra.

Police have made a fresh appeal for information on the third anniversary of Mr Boland's death.

Det Supt Cook said: "A dedicated team of detectives are working to find those responsible for Andrew's murder and encourage anyone who has information, to come forward."
