Man in court over pub stabbings

A 23-year-old local man has been charged with wounding with intent and assault following a double stabbing at a Pembrokeshire pub.

Christopher Burton was remanded in custody by Haverfordwest magistrates.

Police had been called to the Ship and Anchor pub in Fishguard on Wednesday after reports of a disturbance.

Landlady Diane Evans and the manager of the Old Coach House pub nearby, Rhidian Havard, are both in a "comfortable" condition in hospital.

Mr Burton is due to appear at Swansea Crown Court on 3 April.
