Police investigating the murder of a man from India whose body was found in Surrey have offered a £10,000 reward.

The body of Sukhwinder Singh, 27, from the Punjab, was found in a car park at Epsom racecourse on 21 January, 2006.

Surrey Police said they wanted to trace three men from the Punjab region who might have clues to the events surrounding his death.

Mr Singh was described as a "rock for our family" by relatives who have flown to the UK to aid the investigation.

Surrey Police believe he attended a party in Sandfield Road, Thornton Heath, south London, which went on into the early hours before his death.

They said they wanted to trace a man who goes by the name of Amandeep Singh, but is also know as Mahli or Malhi.

He is 32 and described as being of medium build and 5ft 9in tall.

They also want to speak to Rajinder Singh, who is in his mid-30s and may have been seen with Amandeep Singh, and Amarinder Singh, aged 25.

Mr Singh's family said in a statement: "Sukhwinder was a rock for our family and he loved us all dearly.

"Sukhwinder was an amazing man and he never hurt anyone's feelings but since his death we have all been in a great deal of pain.

"We don't know why anyone would want to kill Sukhwinder and it is very difficult for us to explain to his three young daughters why they will never see their dad again."

Mr Singh is believed to have left India in August 2005 to look for work, intending to send money home to his family.

He is thought to have come to England by train in early January and was staying in the Southall/Hayes area of London.

A post-mortem examination showed he had been strangled.
