His body was recovered from the Clyde near to the Renfrew Ferry on the Broomielaw at about 1210 GMT on Sunday. Mr Nicholson was last seen in Glasgow's Buchanan Street in the early hours after leaving a local nightclub. Mr Nicholson was last seen in Buchanan Street in the early hours after leaving his sister Fiona, 20, and friends in Karbon nightclub.
He was last seen, on CCTV, walking down Buchanan Street towards Argyle Street at about 0100 GMT on the Friday.
About 30 police officers investigated his disappearance and his picture was displayed on plasma screens throughout the city.

Mrs Nicholson described her son, a shop assistant and delivery driver, as a very friendly person, quite sociable and hard-working.
She said he was due to travel to Australia in April.
