Five people have died in St Patrick's weekend road accidents in Donegal. A baby girl has been orphaned after her parents were among five people killed in a series of road accidents in Donegal.

"It is disappointing for us as we are continuing to raise the awareness and the consequences of poor driver behaviour," he said.
"The road safety record of the county continues to be so bad in relation to the rest of the country.
"I suppose in the first instance I would have to say that enforcement plays a role and, in the long term, in terms of the next generation of drivers coming through, education and awareness is the next focus for us."
