Version 0 of 1.

A woman jumped from a moving car after being abducted in west Belfast.

She had just got into the vehicle after locking up a restaurant on the Glen Road on Saturday, when two masked men forced her into the back seat.

The woman escaped and ran from the car but was caught and dragged back. The car was driven off, but she managed to jump out out while it was moving.

The woman flagged down another car and was taken to a police station. Two men were arrested and later freed on bail.

The PSNI said the car, a blue Volkswagen Polo, had been driven along the Glen Road, the Falls Road, Donegal Road and onto the MI motorway.

The car then left the motorway at Dunmurry and was being driven towards Lenadoon when the woman made her successful escape.

A police spokesman said: "As it was being driven along Dungloe Crescent the woman managed to jump from the vehicle while it was still moving."

Cash taken

The woman's vehicle was subsequently recovered at Ardmonagh Gardens.

She was treated in hospital for injuries she suffered when she hit the road after escaping from the car, but has since been discharged.

The police spokesman said the woman was robbed of a small sum of cash during her ordeal.

Detectives at Grosvenor Road are appealing for anyone who witnessed the initial incident or saw the car being driven or abandoned to come forward.
