Woman coach denies sexual assault

A top female tennis coach has denied sexually assaulting a schoolgirl in the Wirral, at Liverpool Crown Court.

Claire Lyte, 28, allegedly assaulted the 13-year-old, in October 2005.

The coach from Solihull, West Midlands, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court charged with one count of sexual activity with a child.

Ms Lyte, Who was named Young Coach of the Year by the LTA in 2001, denies the charges. She was remanded on bail until her trial in October.
