A man has been arrested after an 84-year-old woman was killed and two other people were injured in a crash in Cardiff on Friday. Tributes have been paid to an 84-year-old great-grandmother who was killed in a road crash in Cardiff.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene after the three-vehicle crash at 1710 GMT at Heol Goch, Pentyrch. A man and another woman were injured in the three-vehicle crash at 1710 GMT on Friday at Heol Goch, Pentyrch.
Police said a Range Rover travelling downhill was in collision with a Vauxhall Corsa travelling uphill. A Mitsubishi Colt was also involved. Betty Roberts' family said the mother of four had had a "wonderfully sunny disposition".

A man and woman who were driving the other two vehicles in the crash on the road which is known locally as Pentyrch Hill. They were taken to hospital, but their condition is not known. Police said the 84-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the Vauxhall Corsa, was from the Wentloog area of the city. Mrs Roberts, who was a passenger in the Corsa, was from the Wentloog area of the city.
Her daughters Sylvia, Jacky and Gill said: "Our mother had many friends and loved music.
'Heartbroken'
"She attended choir practice weekly. A regular meeting of a women's circle on Thursdays was a particular favourite.
"She had four children, ten grandchildren and eight great grand children. She was looking forward to the birth of her ninth great grandchild in June."
The family said they were "heartbroken" but thanked the emergency services.
"Her family are overwhelmed by the kindness and help from the people at the scene," they said.
