Woman's body found at cliff foot

The body of a 34-year-old woman has been found at the foot of a cliff at Aberporth, in Ceredigion.

Emergency services were called to the cliff at about 2100 BST on Sunday where the woman was found.

She was taken to West Wales General Hospital, in Glangwili, Carmarthen, where she was pronounced dead.

Her identity has not been revealed while her next of kin are contacted. Police have not said whether they are treating the death as suspicious.

Ambulance crews, the fire service, Dyfed-Powys Police, coastguards and the RNLI all attended the scene after the incident was reported.

A police investigation is under way and the death has been reported to HM Coroner.
