Third man held over boy's death Murder charge over Jack's death

A third man has been arrested in connection with the road death of an Edinburgh schoolboy. A third man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Edinburgh schoolboy Jack Anderson.
Jack Anderson, 10, was knocked down just 200 yards from his home in Edinburgh as he walked back from school on 5 October last year. Isaac Purcell, 25, appeared on petition at Edinburgh Sheriff Court. He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.
Lothian and Borders Police said a 25-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday in connection with Jack's death. Charges of theft and attempting to pervert the course of justice were also laid against him.
He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday. Patrick Nolan and Michael Purcell, both 19, have already appeared in court charged with culpable homicide.
Culpable homicide Purcell's appearance follows the death of ten-year old Jack, who was knocked down by a car in Saughton Road North, Edinburgh, on 5 October last year.
Two other men have already appeared in court in connection with the incident. Mr Nolan first appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on 16 January.
