Version 0 of 1.

A man questioned by police after the discovery of several suspicious devices and explosive powder in a house in Hampshire has been released on bail.

Up to 100 residents living near Wellington Crescent in Baughurst were forced to leave their homes.

Police had arrested a 24-year-old man on suspicion of criminal damage but later rearrested him on suspicion of possessing explosive materials.

Hampshire Police said the man had been bailed pending further inquiries.

Two military bomb disposal teams, 25 police officers and two ambulances attended the scene.

The house was cordoned off on Saturday and residents in four streets were asked to stay at Hurst Community College.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue was put on stand-by while bomb disposal experts examined the property.

A Hampshire Police spokesman said: "There is no suggestion at this stage that the devices were connected with any terrorism or any extremist groups."
