Version 0 of 1.

Bomb disposal experts have completed a detailed search of a house where home-made explosive powder and several suspicious devices were found.

Streets around Wellington Crescent, in Baughurst, Hampshire, were evacuated on Saturday night while the property was searched.

A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possessing explosive materials.

Detectives now have until Monday night to question him.

House guarded

A police spokesman said on Sunday any suspicious items would be removed for further examination.

Hampshire Constabulary had said "there was no suggestion at this stage that the devices were connected with any terrorism or any extremist group".

Two military bomb disposal teams, 25 police officers and two ambulances attended the scene.

The house was cordoned off and Hampshire police officers kept guard overnight.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue was on stand-by with two fire engines and nine firefighters while the devices were made safe.

Some residents were moved to Hurst Community College, but were allowed home just after 0100 GMT on Sunday.
