A couple in their 20s have escaped injury in a gun attack on their house in north Belfast. A mother has said her son could have been blinded after their home was raked with gunfire in north Belfast.
Up to 10 shots were fired at the house in Jamaica Court just before 0300 GMT on Monday. Arlene McAlea said it was lucky her children were not home when 10 shots were fired at their house in the Jamacia Court area of Ardoyne.
She said she was thankful her son,9, and five-year-old daughter were staying with their grandmother.

"If he had have been in that bed, God's knows what would have happened.
"I went in this morning and that's when I noticed the glass all over the bed.
"My wee boy doesn't sleep with pyjamas on, so he could have been cut to bits - or even blinded."
